ABOUT THE SCHOOL OF ELECTICAL ENGINEERING

KIIT, Deemed to be University, formerly Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, is a co-educational, autonomous university located at middle heart of Temple city Bhubaneswar in the Indian state of Odisha. The University offers under-graduate and post-graduate courses in Engineering, Bio-technology, Medicine, Management, Law, Computer application, Rural management, Fashion, Film Studies, Journalism and Sculpturing. It was one of the youngest institutions to be awarded the deemed university status in India and then the University status in 2004.

The School of Electrical Engineering has been playing a vital role in producing Engineers and Scientists of highest caliber since its inception in the year 1997. At present, it offers Under Graduate, Post Graduate and Ph.D. programs in Electrical Engineering to cater to the ever challenging needs of technical excellence in all areas of Electrical Engineering such as Power Electronics and Drives, Power & Energy System and Power System Engineering. The School is having a vibrant atmosphere due to the combination of input of brilliant students, availability of outstanding faculty members and innovative research work in all areas of Electrical Engineering. The Biju Patnaik International Airport of Bhubaneswar is the domestic airport , 14 KMs from KIIT Deemed to be University Bhubaneswar and is well linked by air to New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkota, Hyderabad , Bangalore. Rail Connection

The Bhubaneswar City is well connected by Indian Railway to major cities of India. Road Connection

Bhubaneswar is well linked to the rest of India by the national highways. The Bus Stand (Baramunda Bust Stand) is located on NH5 and is about 12 KMs from Railway Station and about 14 kilometer from Airport of Bhubaneswar. Bhubaneswar is on the golden quadrilateral on NH-5 between Kolkata and Chennai.

THE CONFERENCE

The 1st IEEE International Conference on Power Electronics and Energy (ICPEE 2021) was successfully conducted in 2021 on dt. 2nd and 3rd January by KIIT School of Electrical Engineering in association with IEEE Bhubaneswar subsection. The ICPEE-2021 was technically sponsored by IEEE Kolkata Section and IEEE IAS Society. The  2nd  International conference on Power Electronics and Energy (ICPEE 2023) to be conducted by School of Electrical Engineering and IEEE Bhubaneswar Sub-section in 2023 from 3rd Jan. to 5th Jan. The main aim of this international conference is to bring researchers from all the esteemed institutes of the World. Along with researchers the professionals and executives from energy sector, manufacturing industries, electrical power companies are invited to share ideas and information pertaining to recent development area of Power Electronics and Energy.

International IEEE Conference of three days titled “International Conference on Power Electronics and Energy” will be held in School of Electrical Engineering, KIIT, Deemed to be University on 3rd-5th January, 2023. KIIT Deemed to be University is situated in the middle heart of Temple City Bhubaneswar. The Biju Patnaik International Airport situated here which links very well to all over the World.
